The hotel is perfectly located in the center of Kirkby Stephen, ideal for walking and right on the main street. While the rooms are in a very old building with loads of old features, the friendly couple running the hotel make the stay enjoyable. However, the furniture could be better, and the lingering smell of cigarettes near the back entrance is a downside. The lack of sachets was a small inconvenience.
